Are you looking to obtain your Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) for non-restricted firearms, such as hunting rifles and shotguns? Vision Learning Centre offers a comprehensive Canadian Firearm Safety Course designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to handle firearms safely and responsibly.

Course Overview

Our PAL course is the first step in acquiring your PAL license and involves 8 hours of detailed instruction. Throughout the course, you will have plenty of opportunities to handle deactivated firearms and ammunition, ensuring you gain practical experience in a controlled environment.

Course Highlights:

  • Duration: 8 hours of in-depth instruction

  • Hands-On Practice: Handle deactivated firearms and ammunition

  • Written Test: 50-question exam covering firearm safety and regulations

  • Practical Test: Hands-on assessment to demonstrate safe handling, transportation, and storage of firearms

Youth Participation

Youth aged 12-17 can also take the PAL course and obtain a Minors PAL. This is a great opportunity for young enthusiasts to learn about firearm safety and responsibility under expert guidance.

Important Disclaimer

 Please note: If you have taken the PAL course previously, you do not have to take it again. Please contact the Chief Firearms Officer at 1-800-731-4000 for a copy of your past PAL certificate. It is NOT NECESSARY to take the course a second time. You don't need to pay for it again.
